Hi all!
I have a VGN-A317M notebook (+512Mb additional RAM). My device is capable for upgrading to Windows-7 according to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. Because it's an older model it doesn't appear on the 'Pre-Register for Windows-7' Sony's website page.
However, since the model is capable to run Windows 7 the big questions are, shall I need new any drivers after installing Windows 7 (I mean to download and install them manually)? Will the power options and other model-specific features (screen brightness calibration) software available to WinXP be also installable and available to Windows 7?
Anyone tried the latest Windows 7 on any older model?
