Wi-Fi

I just got a new Vaio with built-in wifi (LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter) but it is not picking up my wireless network at home - router is a BT Voyager 2000 wireless.
Is this hardward incompatible for some reason?
How can I get them to see each other?
At the moment I am having to hardwire into the back of the router, which sort of defeats the object of having the wifi.
Any help much appreciated

I really hate troubleshooting wireless networking it's such a complete pain there are so many places where things can go wrong. Can you post some details of your settings? Do you have the Windows Firewall disabled? Have you installed SP2? Is this your first network or have you had a working network before with this/another router? What steps have you taken so far to set up your network?

I don't mean to sound rude it's just you need a lot of details. Fire away see what people can come up with
