I have the vaio connected to an external monitor through a docking station and I am having a problem with the laptop auto sensing the monitor.
On every other laptop I have used once you have selected the fact you're using an external monitor the laptop remembers this and outputs to the external monitor whenever it is docked.
The problem with the vaio is that once it is used un-docked and then re-docked it doesn't recognise the external monitor until I push Function-F7. I can reboot it as often as I want while it is docked and it sees the monitor every time but as soon as it is un-docked it forgets the monitor was there.
Is there a way to tell the laptop to always use the external monitor if present??
