this is my second sony laptop, first one was great, but heavy, bought this new model VGN-S5M/S, great computer, but the fan noise is making me totally crazy. I am not the type that has music on all the time, need to concentrate for work, but each time this 'stupid' fan is starting on and off.
If I new this before, would have bought something else, this is really tragic.
ps i read more articles about the fan noise here at the forum, (and what to do to reduce the noise, but this slows down the performance too much). The reaction back from sony, that this is normal is totally unacceptable, i am ready to ship this laptop to the CEO from sony for him to enjoy the heavy fan noise on off all the time.javascript:smilie(':smileycry:')
