VAIO CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE for DVD UNITS

Had problems with my DWU-54A DVD RW unit in my VAIO GRT916Z since day one, couldn't write DVDs. I posted a question on Vaio-link, and the answer was I was using third party software so it was my business. Of course Sony supports Nero, and declares it on other web sites...
Now the unit has been shipped, but information on what's going on is very very limited ("the unit has been received", "the unit is under testing", etc.) Today is day 8 and have no news, the repair is supposed to take maximum 10 days...
I'll keep you posted guys, but next laptop will be a Toshiba!
