Hi all, I am looking for help regarding a problem I have watching DVD's on my Sony Vaio GRT915M (DVD-drive: DW-U54A)
I get this error:
Error PL4009: A CSS Encryption error occurred while trying to play the DVD. Your detected decoder may not support playback of encrypted DVD content. Please make sure that your decoder fully supports playback of encrypted DVD content by contacting the manufacturer of your DVD playback software.
I want to watch the DVD, not copy it.
I serached the forum for thir threads about this topic, but didn't find any. Sorry if it's been posted before, if so could someone please send me the link?
Thanks in advance.
Probably H.264 codec needed download this codec pack here and you will be able to watch anything that is is not another region. If the region is a problem try CSS + Region Free. A trial is available. When installing K Lite tick off all except morgan streaming. BS Player is another great all rounder player
Hi Tony,
Thanks for your quick reply. I downloaded what you suggested, but unfortunately it wasn't the solution to my problem. I do know now that the sonydv.dll is broken, I will probably be able to reinstall that one when I am back home again. No watching DVD's this vacation I am affaid.
