Sony VGN-NW11S Webcam

Hi,

I am new to the forums and also new to VAIOs...

My first impressions of the VGN-NW11S is really really good.
A nice little notebook! Well done Sony!

Although, I do have a quick question with regards to the webcam.

I use MSN Messenger and the webcam feature on there alot. When I go to set it up, and send the video to the other contact, the webcam loads up fine but its very dark! I use the webcam settings in ArcSoft to adjust the brightness/contrast and the gamma, but for some reason, when I decrease/increase these settings, the image does not change! It stays the same regardless of whether I increase the brightness/contrast/gamma, or decrease it?

Any ideas as to how I can fix this? I try to use the camera settings in MSN, but the same happens.

Just Tried my webcam on my Vaio VGN-NW11z it seems all fine, i didnt change anything just went to msn settings and it worked fine.... How was the lighting around you?
