Sony Vaio +TV Question

Was wondering about the possibilities of connecting my sony vaio to my tv so i can use the dvd drive and watch films on tv rather than the laptops screen,all i no is it has these connections below,are they suitable!! if they are where would
i be able to buy the cable to connect it to tv??

hallo,
i was thinking to create a new thread for my question, but maybe it´s ok to put my question in here either.

i have an PCG-Z1XMP and want to find a solution to connect my tv with my vaio. i checked the manual and checked the online support for my z1, but nowhere is the speach about the possibility to connect to a tv; direct with some kind of cable or an adapter.
i found some tv-adapers (deep hidden) in some sony-product-online-pages, but again no info about to use with any vaio-modell.

so, my z1 has an audio-out (red). would this 3.5 jack cable work with this?
are there any other ways (adapters or something else) to connect with a tv? (no, my tv has not an vga-in)

EDIT:
guess i´m not the only one with this problem:
another z1-user with that kind of question

and, jesus. i made my way through the hole treads. (thank god the search-funktion is so great) and yes, there are many threads about tv-connection, but as long i understand this jack cable is just for some "yellow" plug-ins. is that right?

ive looked around notebook,and theres nothing on the back of it ,but down left hand side i have little yellow/red/green jack plugs,would they be the ones,havnt purchased lead yet to try though.

the yellow one is for video, thats the one you need to connect to the tv

coz why i ask my tv has yellow and a white jack plug socket on the front.

Is it ATi or Geforce the graphics card?

i have the Ati IGP 345M

Right click the desktop
Click on Properties
Click on advanced
Click on devices (doing it by memory here)
Click on the TV.
