Hi all again, I posted this yesterday, 15.08.2009 but my post seems to have disappeared or at least I can't find it so I'm trying again...
I've had a new hard drive fitted on my PCG-K115S 5 year old laptop. As the recovery disc used to reinstall was as old as the comp' I'd like to do automatic update. To do this I'm told there is a Vaio 4 link on the start-progs list but there isn't on my progs' list. The alternative is to click the Vaio pop-up...but no pop-up pops-up on my comp'. So can anyone advise me of an alternative route to access the updates...
Thanking you all in anticipation..
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
Your other post is just four below this one in the list of the 'Notebook' Forum index.
Go to the Download Update page for your model by clicking on the SUPPORT link at the top of this page. Enter your model (PCG-K115S) and Log In. When in the support area for your Vaio click on Downloads. If there is an update for the Vaio Update program then download and install it. If it does not work or is not there, then you will have to download and install all the available updates from that page.
I cannot link you straight through as the Vaio Support site seems to be down - try a bit later.
Hi Blencogo, many thanks for the reply and advice... sorry about reposting but it's 5 years since I was in the forum and missed the 'recent threads' link... I'm off to Specsavers.
