Problem with transfering using software

I have recently just tried to transfer some music onto my Vaio Pocket and it isn't allowing me too.

I have got it connected to my computer the same way as I have always connected it when I have managed to transfer some music.
On the device its self it says "Connected to PC".
I can view the device on my computer by going in to My Computer and then clicking on "Removable Drive" fine and can transfer files on and off it.

I cant seem to get both programs (SonicStage and VAIO music transfer) to allow me to transfer any music files. It simply says "Device Not Connected".

What is going on here?? Im confused!!! :thinking: :thinking: :thinking:

Have u updated the firmware or SS recently ? Is this your first attempt at loading music to the player ?

Basically you should in SS initailise the player, in the in one of the menus for the device. It will wipe the player but it should then be seen in SS.

I had to do this when I plugged my player into a new PC .. I presume it syncs to the install of SS on a particullar machine..

The other possibility is that you have the wrong version of SS installed i.e a UK player but you are using the US SS I had issues with this initailly where I had dl'ed the US version to have a look. If this is the case uninstall SS and openMG completely and then retry using the the European releases of SS from the vaio support page.

I have managed to fix this issue by updating SS to 2.3. But The wierd thing is, I had already done that and worked fine the first time I had used SS 2.3. That was about 3 weeks ago, and when I went to use it this morning, i didnt notice it then, that the version was 2.1. WEIRD.

I had made the firmware update aswell and had no problems. It just seems to be when I wanted to use the program this morning!
