which mouse is it?
I used a logitech MX700 with my RX-405 without any trouble. i connected it to the standard mouse port on the back of the computer.
Check the documentation whether you should load the drivers before connecting the mouse to the computer.
dont forget to "connect" the cradle and the mouse together. (connect button onthe cradle, and asecnonf connect button on the underside of the mouse)
