Internal microphone SZ2M does not work

I have a VGN-SZ2M laptop with an internal microphone. Whatever I try, I can't get it to work. It is not a simple problem as "mute" or anything like that. According to the specs it shoudl have an internal microphone unlike the SZ1 model. Can anybody help me.

On the english site it say there is an internal microphone, on the Dutch site it says there is non. I am really really getting pissed off here because I would not have ordered this laptop if there was no internal microphone.

I would phone Vaio-Link Support and ask them to confirm - have your Vaio Serial Number to hand.

Yeah...called them this morning. According to them it should have an internal microphone but I am not convinced. Especially since the guy was unable to solve the problem. The story continues tomorrow.
