Wäre nett wenn mir jemand dabei helfen könnte...
Ich habe mir das System RXM21D gekauft und weiß nicht so recht welcher DVD-Brenner darin steckt?!? Wer kann es mir sagen oder erklären wo ich die genaue Bezeichnung finde??? Und stimmt es, das gewisse/diverse DVD-Rohlinge den Brenner beschädigen können, wenn man den falschen Treiber aufgespielt hat? Dies und noch eine ganze Menge Fragen....!!! Bin dankbar für jede Antwort... DANKE!!!

Hi,

I have the same question : bougt a PCV-RXM21 last week, expecting a DRU 500a inside.
But I only found a DW-U12A inside?
Now my questions :
Is it right, that this is the OEM-Version of the DRU 500ax?
And is it true, that the firmware is different to the DRU 500a?
Is DW-U10A exactly the same as DW-U12A?
Will there be any support for the DW-U12A?
And if not : any ideas, what to do?

Hi Guys,

the DVD+-RW drive is not a DRU 500A or AX, but it pretty much does the same.
It can read and write the same formats. You should download and install the available firmware upgrade from Vaio-Link.

Firmware Update for DVD+-RW Drive (Sony DW-U12A)

Oh, and of course the drive is supported just like the rest of the unit by Vaio-Link.
