Horizontal line on the screen

Hello!

I've a VGN-FE11S a yesterday when i turn it on, He got a tiny horizontal line on the screen.

That appears always no only on windows and dosent appear when I connect the laptop to a external display.
So I assume that it isnt a software or a graphic card problem. But problably a screen problem maybe some connection isnt okay.


So what should I do the laptop isnt on warranty anymore. Can I do something to be sure where the problem is coming from?

I agree from what you've said it sounds like a screen problem..

Do you get the same line when in either safe mode or in the BIOS.?

To enter safe mode restart your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F8 key repeatedly..

To enter the BIOS restart your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F2 key repeatedly..

To exit the BIOS press F9 to reset the BIOS to default and press F10 to save and exit..

If the answer to above is yes then I would suggest either contacting Sony support or asking a local repairer to give you a quote for a repair..
