[FZ21M] Crazy pixels on display issue

I bought this laptop for xmas 2007.
Starting last week the pc is behaving very strangely:
First on the screen random pixels appear and disappear, while the computer completely freeze, then the screen turn off (a few times the bluescreen-of-death came out).
I'll attach a pic of the screen and a pair of videos...

Yesterday a trojan showed up (the microav2009) so i thought the issue was related to it. But after a clean install (of windows7 this time) the issue was still there...
Before installation of windows7 i run a memory test, but nothing was found.


Pls guys help me out! i really need my laptop. What i'm supposed to do???

you don't seem to have attached any images..

Do you get the same problems when in safe mode.?

To enter safe mode restart your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F8 key repeatedly..

I have the same problem and it appears the graphics processor has failed. There are numerous reports of this problem on FZ21's. Not sure if you have an extended warranty but you are looking at over £700 to get it repaired through Sony if you don't.

Going through the pain myself and decided to write off the loss and buy a Toshiba instead. This is the third Vaio I have had fail on me in the past two years and although I have always been a real fan of Sony in the past, I feel they are now charging top prices for very poor quality products.
