DVD_ROM NOT DETECTED BY COMPUTER

Hi There,

I replaced the old windows with the new one. After finished the installation, the windows can not detect the DVD Rom. How to solve the problem? I try to update the firmware from vaio-link but no point due to no device present. I aslo check add hardware and it stated ' Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)'. I need your help please.

Have a look at this thread, the solution I posted applies equally to error code 41.
