Display Driver Problem - VAIO VGN-A617B

Hi to all.
I'va a VAIO Notebook A617B with ATI X600 installed.

In Desktop Properties my lcd-screen is recognized as "Plug & Play Monitor" and not as "Vaio LCD", like another VAIO of a friend of mine.
Why XP don't recognize it correctly?
May I have to update ATI Driver with the last version?

No problem, windows hardly recognizes any displays. As far as I know, there are no benefits at all, especially with TFT Displays.
