deleted my dvd drive by mistake.

Hi. You know when you switch on your icon to safely remove a USB memory stick and proceed to accidently delet the DVD drive ?. How do you recover the DVD.
It's a Vaio notebook running XP professional.:smileyconfused:

I am not sure I full understand your problem. Normally a re-boot will re-start any drive that has been stopped with "safely remove hardware".

Can you provide more detail?

Yes dam strange that?. I had restarted several times but it was when i turned off completely and rebooted that it all came back eventually. I feel such a prick.:smileyclown:

Do a hard reboot, by turning off completly and turning on.
This happened to me once, was in a right panic

if you just deleted it on my computer, then theres no problem. just restart your computer and it should be back!
