Hello, i tried to create recovery discs on my A215M. The recovery tool creates the 4 cd fine, but crashes on the 5/5 System Recovery disc when i use cd-r. If I try it with dvd-r (3 different brands) the process fails on 1%. Please help me
Call VAIO-Link in the morning
Any news?
This is really annoying, I cannot believe such an expensive machine creates such horrible customer experience.
I read and re-read all printed material and nowhere there is indication that I have to make my own recovery disks, in fact it always talk about the provided recovery discs that are actually not provided!
But then when I enter the Recovery utility (by my own initiative, not because anything on the guides told me to do so) and try to burn recovery kit, the DVD does not work at all. I try the Cd-R and after 13 discs (yes 13, I have the vgn-s2xp) the last one fails consistently (5 cd on the garbage right now)
Hello,
vaio-link told me to use Sony or Ricoh DVD+R. So i bought 2 Sony DVD+R and it works.
I used Sony DVD-R and it worked. But I don't feel it's right that they made me spend two hours and over 15 CDs. SOny is a premium brand and we are paying for it. They should put their act together and spend a few bucks providing the recovery discs or at least creating an application that generally works and not only with Sony DVDs.
i think the same about it. if someone had told me that there is such a big difference between a PC & a SonyPC, i would'nt have bought it.
