Hi all,
I have juste bought a VGN-A115B and I seem to have a problem with my CPU frequency. Even if I use the "performance" option in the "power management pannel", windows says me tue cpu runs at 1,5Ghz, which is a good thing but the Sony Notebook setup says me it runs at 600 Mhz.
Can anybody help me to use my notebook at the highest speed ??
PS : i hope you understand me, sorry i am French...
The Sony Notebook Setup shows you the current speed of the CPU, not the total.
That is to say ? What do you call the total ?
I tried to encode a divx and the cpu stays at 600Mhz for vaio setup. So even if it is the current spped it must have been 1500Mhz at this moment !!
ok that's what i had understood !
but the problem is that in the notebook setup the CPU is always at 600 Mhz whatever the power choice or the programs running.
How can i make my PC run at 1500 really ?
Even in Performance the pc is very slow and encoding a divx for instance is a meer nightmare !
you can answer in English ! i don't speak perfectly but i understand.
Yes its handy being multinational
I'm not sure why it's supposedly running at 600Mhz, so I would suggest checking the speed using SiSoft Sandra 2004, it tells you a lot of things about the computer.
lol
ok so I will check with sisoft Sandra and study the problem.
Let us know how you get on.
