At the first start of the PC (a vaio VGC-V2S) the switch of the wireless LAN (on the right of the PC) was off. As I couldn¿t connect the wireless mouse and keyboard after several attempts according to the normal procedure, I tried to put the LAN switch on but the situation was not better. Precisely I had a connection during 1 to 5 seconds with the mouse as well as the keyboard. I have tried to replace the batteries but It didn¿t change anything.
I have tried to switch off the wireless LAN again and the situation became all right but now, each time I try to switch on the LAN, the connection with the mouse and the keyboard is lost.
Could someone explain me why it is so because both connection IR and WIFI have normally nothing to do together.
Thanks
Power up the wireless Lan card then check device manager in control panel - system properties to see if any devices are conflicting. Post the results back.
I have switched on the wireless LAN but it appears no information about any problems in the state of the mouse, the keyboard and the LAN manager in the window of the device manager. The message "device works correctly" stays after switching on the LAN.
