hello
i have cently purchaced a sony vaio vgn-ns20z and i am wanting to make the downgrade to xp. i have folowed the usual proceedure of puting my xp home disc into the dvd drive and rebooting my pc to install.
initially it the install starts fine but at the same point every time i get the same error message state that windows has been 'shut down to prevent damage'. it then askes me to remove any newly installed hard drives and controllers and to check if my hard drive is proporly configured.
another thing i have noticed is that when ever i use my xp home disc (i have tried this with a few other copies) the option to install is in grey and i cannot click to install.
any help will be greatly apreciated as vista is driving me mad!!!!!!!!111
