I have a Vaio VGN-AW21M/H, which has a 300MHz (max.) type-N wireless interface. My wireless router is a Netgear DGN2000, which also has 300MHz type-N capability.
However I cannot get a connection speed greater than 54MHz.
The router is only about 10ft away from the laptop, so I would expect a fast connection speed. I have contacted Netgear and all they could suggest was to set the wireless mode on the router to "Up to 270MHz", which it already was.
Is there anything to set up on the laptop that would increase my connection speed to something approaching 300MHz?
