guess just like other forums the first post from a newbie is a problem - and this one from me is no exception!
Had the above set since August 2009 generally with no problems. Got a Sony BlueRay (GDPs 360) attached. Previously had a Sky+ box (white) but last year ent to a Sky+HD box (black).
Recently we get a random lowering of sound volume that lasts about a second or two. This seems to happen randomely and as far as we can make out we can't predict when or how often or long it occurs.
For general TV viewing we have the volume setting around 45 - 50 (on a scale up to 100) for comfortable viewing. Neither my wife or I are hard of hearing! When watching a dvd we have to increase the volume level substantially.
My son who has a much newer Sony set cannot believe the volume settings we use compared to his - they seem to be about one half of our scale setting.
Does anyone have any ideas or comments please?
