Until recently the BBC Iplayer worked successfully on my Bravia KDL-37W5810 using Virgin Media proxy server webcache.virginmedia.com port 8080. The service ceased operating in late May 2012.
I now understand Virgin Media now longer supports this server.
Consequently I have removed the reference to the proxy server.
Now when I attempt to use the Iplayer all is OK until the point of 'loading' the selected program when the following message appears :-
This content does not seem to be working. Please try later.
Is this problem unique to using Sony Bravia on Virgin Media ?
I have spoken to VM and they have re-iterated proxy servers are NOT supported and as the Iplayer works on my PC via their standard broadband servers the problem with the Bravia lies with the SONY software.
What is the alternative to using VM's webcache.virginmedia.com port 8080.
