HD reception

My bravia kdl-32v4000 was sold as HD ready. I have searched the settings and the manual but I can't  find anything about HD. Am I right in thinking that the tuner is not HD? How do I get freeview HD?

HD ready means that the TV is able to decode an HD signal when input via HDMI, this could be Blu-ray, Sky HD etc. however you are correct, the onboard tuner is not a DVB-t2 device which is needed for Freeview hd in the UK, so you would need a set top box in order to get Freeview hd.

Hope this helps
