My gf has just bought a Sony Bravia KDL 32CX523. We have successfully linked both a usb stick and a portable hard drive to it via the usb slot. It has run videos (AVI), from both a exFat and FAT32. But it has now started playing up. It connects to the TV as we get a message saying the device is detected. Via the home menu we select video then the hard drive/stick and it comes up with "there are no items to display". I have reformatted the drives (hence running both exFAT and FAT32), and it seems to work for a movie but when you go to use it again it comes up with " there are no items to display" again.
Any help would be much appriciated. We are assuming that as it is finding the hard drive every time that the TV and USB slots themselves are fine and it's the formatting or something that is wrong but if someone has had the same problem could you let us know if you solved it?
