Can see there are some previous related posts, but these all seem ages ago and solved by it just starting to work again. If there is really a solution, sorry I missed it.
i player just won't load, it's been like it for at least a month, or possibly two - registered the problem on the iplayer website.
evetything else works - Netflix, Channel 5, TED etc - just get loading screen and to get out of that have to turn off TV.
any help would be much appreciated.

Have a look at this post describing a basic routine to follow which has helped with iPlayer connection issues in the past.

thank you so much for taking the trouble. I had the latest firmware - auto updates, but I did a full factory reset as the post suggested and boom! It's working again.
