Hi all,
I have a 32W5500 which is my prime TV. It is fed from my Denon AVR1912 reciever via HDMI for cable and blu ray.
I send my audio from my TV to the reciever via an optical link, since it does not have an ARC.
Now I just bought a small 24EX320 for our kitchen. I want to feed its audio to two speakers in the kitchen. I want to use the Denon also for this task because it has two zones. The 24'' has an ARC. Is it possible to connect the HDMI with ARC directly to a HDMI input channel of the reciever? Or does ARC use an entire different protocol?
If I cannot use the ARC, what would be your suggestion for best possible audio output between TV and reciever (the reciever has only one optical link input)?
Or should I upgrade to a reciever with two HDMI outputs with ARC?
My home is a construction site at this moment, the 24'' is stored so I cannot try it out myself. But I have to make decisions on what cable connections I should enable from living to kitchen.
What would be your suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Jeroen
