Can I get iPlayer on KDL 37V5500?

My Bravia is about two year's old.  (KDL 37V5500).  Should I be able to get iPlayer and YouTube, etc if I connect it to my router with a LAN.  I have connected it but can't see much appear in the menu.  I'm wondering if I need to update the firmware because it's not a brand new TV??

Not on this device I'm afraid. Checkout any of the current Blu-ray players or the SNP-n200 as they will all add Internet functionality to what is still a very good TV..
