Do i really need to use task killer application?

no you don;t . it will only harm the phone.. and do nothing else..

plz elaborate why task killer apps are not useful..?

i mean the phone does seem to function faster after using the app..

there are some applications which are necessary to keep running. task killers sometimes closes those applications as well causing various troubles.

also , some applications \ services cannot be stopped , but task killer tries to kill those services as well , so it kills that service , but the service will start again , then it kills and on and on.

this leads to more RAM consumption and even depletes battery.
