I am unable to receive photos via messaging. The messaging crashes and won't even let me read the texts when a photo is sent to me.

I'm sorry to hear this. I recommend that you make sure that you have the correct settings for MMS installed on your device. You can download and install new ones if you go to: Settings > More > Internet settings.  Once the download has completed restart your device.

If you are still experiencing the same behavior I recommend that you reset your messaging app. Note that this won't delete any messages stored on your device. To do this, go to: Settings > Apps > Messaging > Storage > Clear data > Ok.  Then restart your device.
