My Xperia L1 device got it's battery drained to 0%. I charged the device with my laptop, and turned on the device at 1% of battery while charging. I did mudane tasks with the phone (at lasted about 5 minutes), and then the device has it's battery drained again - so back to the charging screen. I allowed the device to charge to 3%, then I hold the power button to see if the phone is functional - but the device shut off instantly - no LED light to indicate it's charging, and whenever I hold the power button, it won't turn on. I tried to restart the phone by holding Volume+ and power button, but it didn't work. So I don't know what to do. I heard that this was a common problem to Xperia phones.
So what should I do to solve this issue?
Hi @Samsonael, I'm sorry to hear this.
I recommend that you charge the device for at least 30 minutes. If the battery is drained, it may take up to 30 minutes for your device to respond to the charging. During this time, the screen may remain completely dark, not showing the charging icon. Also note that it can take up to 4 hours for a completely drained battery to charge fully.
If this does not help I recommend that you try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion as the next step.
Let me know how this turns out.
I have been charging the device for more than 12 hours, so I conclude that it didn't work. I'll get the phone repaired by my provider. Thanks anways.
I'm sorry to hear that, thanks for letting me know.
