svr hdt500 issues recording and signal strength

so far ive had one of these for about a week and wish i haddnt bothered

sony bravia tv shows 100% signal strength and quality this shows mid 50s strength and 20 to 50 quality and thats after a signal boosterthe tv shows 100% without.

ir repeatedly misses recordings latest being big bang theory on e4 it only started 8 mins in when i turned it on to watch and obviously a recorder that wont reliably record is pointless

upgraded firmware to 4.21.r8585

Hi,

something clearly is not right in the set up of the machine, could you re check the instructions in your manual, the pdf page is 36 titled Aerial reception settings and go through it again, see if that helps.

well signal strength is better but it still wont record big bang theory at least

shows up in record list j7st 8gnores it but cant manualy record as a show is imminent
