Sony UHD X800 No atmos and freezes

Hi

I have a Sony UHD x800 and have had nothing but problems with it freezing. I have to restart it and it will work again. Sometimes its okay but other times it freezes and have to do the same again. Ive checked discs and all clean, This often happens with brand new 4k discs. Now the player does not want to play Atmos only DTHD. I have set BD auto mix to off and settings haven't changed since it used to work, I have it connected through a Yamaha a880 avr using arc. Set up is 7.1 using back speakers. Ive changed this to front high using dolby enabled speakers but still no Atmos. The firmware is updated and all discs I am playing say Atmos sound on case.

for which discs does it freeze?

Also - which version do you have? UBP-X800 or UBP-X800m2?

Im using the x800. The freeze occurs on numerous discs. Avengers, Glass, planet of the apes, Gardens of the Galaxy all 4k discs from new and have atmos

Problem I have is its past the 1 year warranty so any repairs will be at my cost.

Contemplating getting the x800m2 and being done with it
