Hey.
Ive just got hold of a BDV-E370 5.1 Bluray system.
Blu ray and images are great on the system and playing from USB/Media on PC.
I have an issue however that when i play a DVD disc (Not Bluray or USB video), i get a Green image burn on the screen.
The burn is a faint Green Bar just above the Black letterbox seperator.
It is more visable on black and white scenes/films.
it is about 2 - 3 inches tall and the full length of the screen ( Sony Bravia 42" )
The other strange thing is that all other video formats are fine.
When the DVD plays the Menus in full screen - not in letterbox 16:9 - the green bar is not visable.
It only happens when playing a DVD video disc in 16:9 letterbox mode.
I cant get it to go away, most DVDs are in letterbox mode.
Ive tried with multiple dvds...
Replacing the HDMI cable
The player on a different TV ( LG 32" )
Playing the DVDs in my PS3 on the Sony 42" TV, (dvds play fine)
This issue only occures when playing a DVD disc in the BDV-E370 system.
Tempted to return the system to Tesco where i bought it August this year...
Oh and i have updated through my network to the latest firmware as of 17/11/2010
Can anyone shed any light or am i going to return the system?
Hi
Just bought the same system and have the same issue of the green band whilst watching DVD
Have you sorted your problem, and if so I would be very grateful to know
what you did
Many Thanks
Alex
Hi Could you please ensure you have the latest firmware, it should now be M04.R.725 I believe this should resolve that issue.
