I am based in the UK. According to the Sony website the S380 does not ouput Blu-ray via component at 480p. Only 480i and 576i. Can anyone confirm this? People have said Sony specs are sometimes wrong.
The reason i ask is this. I use hdmi for my hdtv, but I also have an old sony projector which accepts component via vga. Max input is 480p or 480i, native resolution is 1024* 768.
So I was going to buy a Hama component - vga cable. And from what I've read 480p is better than 480i.
Anyone know?
