rdr-hxd870 doesn't remember or save the new channel

My sony lost all new channel after power shut down. Version is just updated to 1.70 but it still not work.

Everything works fine before shutdowning. In additional I have seem that add new channel function add some strange ch1 to ch 25 channels. What are these?

How can I fix the problem that I can enjoy new channels? I just don't want to search new channel everytime when I started to watch programs. I'm very dissapointed for that.

I think you need to update the 870's firmware.

Just reset the recorder.

Make sure the recorder is on and remove the disc.

Hold down STOP (the square) on the front panel and then press the ON/OFF button on the recorder.

It will reset then switch off.

I have the same problem in losing channels.

If I understand your solution, I should reset to factory settings and then add the new channels?

It's a known problema of the RDR-HXD series machine.

Last FW release for the HXDx70 version is 1.70 so you have the last.

Refer to other message like this one for the correct sequence of the reset procedure. Be aware that from time to time you'll need to redo it again (simptom is the display stuck on "UPDATE" for hours..) or whenever you'll need to completely re-tuning the channels.

Hi All, for all customers based in the UK, could you please carry out a reset and retune, once this completes, please make note how many services have been found.  Also please indicate if you get any duplicates, on the BBC1 and ITV channel please advise of the CH number given for the channel, this will help identify which transmitter you are tuned in to.
