RDR-HDX 890 Recorder

I have a RDR-HDX 890 Recorder and when I activate it on the top left hand corner of the TV screen a black and white icon AV2 appears, it used to fade but its now its there permanently, can you please let me know how I can fade it away again.

It is not a problem of the recorder. Which tv set do you have? if it is a sony just push twice the info button and it will disappear.
