Hello.
Player is BDP-S370. Firmware is M03.R.742.
Does anyone find that the setting "BD Internet Connection" -> "Do not allow" seems to be ignored? I have set it to "Do not allow", yet the Avatar disc will still try to access the internet. Removing the USB storage causes an warning when loading the disc: "This feature requires Local Storage (memory card or other storage device)... "
I have contacted Sony via my country's website, but thought I would at least ask here. Thanks in advance.
Nobody? No response from my country's Sony support either. So one cannot turn off internet access for Blu-Ray discs with this player anymore? Unplugging is not an option, since we use online services, DLNA, etc. Thanks.
Maybe just down to the way that particular disc has been authored by Fox..?
Hello Catmambo. Thanks for the reply. However, that shouldn't be the case. I have set the blu-ray player to disallow internet access for blu-ray titles, but somehow the disc still manages to bypass this setting and access the internet? Sounds like a firmware issue to me - else other titles could circumvent this setting also. I don't recall it doing this with previous firmwares.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?
Nobody?
Happens with another disc also. BD-Live is accessible from menu in the movie, even though BD Internet Connection is set to "Do not allow". Seems like something is broken in the latest firmware.
