Power wire to a bdp-s590 blu-ray player

Hi experts

I have a quite stupid question that could probably be answered in a split second by one of you out there. I have just bought a bdp-s590 blu-ray player to my daughter and it came with the power wire attached to the back of the player. As far as I can see, it it possible to remove the wire from the player but I am not 100% sure. So before I start to pull the wire with possible damages as a result, I want to make sure, that the wire can actually be pulled out.

I'm pretty sure it's a non removable cable..

Checking the manual I noticed it makes reference:- The AC power cord must be changed only at a qualified service shop..
