There is no sound produced by the 5:1 system when I have TV mode selected. DVD's, USB input and the onboard FM tuner all work fine with full 5:1 if supported.
I have connected the tv and home cinema system with an extremely high quality HMDI cable (Monster 1200HDex) and a scart lead (As suggested in the set-up manual, although I have no idea why this is needed).
I have followed the set-up guide 3 times from start to finish but there is always thge same problem.
When I power on the DAV-DZ280 I get a on screen message saying "Audio system activated" and the TV sound stops. When I turn off the DAV-DZ280 The message reads "TV speakers activated".
The signal to the TV comes via HMDI from HUMAX FOXSAT freeview box.
There are multiple users with this problem using other manufacturers TV's but I'm surprised there is a problem with Two componants that are supposed to be BRAVIA-SYNC'd.
Any help will be appreciated.
