Hi,
I'm looking for some help as I'm getting lost. I have a DAV-DZ230 home cinema system. It's a pretty basic one but it was a gift :smileysilly:. I'm looking for updating it if possible. Basically I want to keep the speakers because I just don't want to (again) changing all cables as we had some home improvements done and I don't want to go through that again.
Anyway, those speakers seem to be of 4 ohms (I'll double check once at home with a multimeter) but the STR-DH520 apparently only accepts 8 ohms. Is there any problem if I use those speakers with that AV or I must get a new set of speakers? It is for a small-med living room and I'm not planning to create a discotheque :smileywink:. As I said, I just basically don't want to start changing all cables again because I don't use the home cinema that much...
Thanks!!
Hi,
if you was to put those speakers on the new amp you surely wont do the amp any good, probably better to renew the speakers in easy stages to match your new amp, a good place to start would be Richer Sounds as they do a lot of speakers at very good prices so worth a look.
