network update unable to download

hi cananyone help? i have just purchased a sony blu-ray bdp-s380 and am unable to download the network update, it getting to stage 3 o f 9 then just coming up with connection status cannot be confirmed, i have checked my connection and it is fine can anyone one help? thanks

I had this problem on my S480.

I think the download speed was so slow the download aborted several times. 

Probably this was caused by the Sony servers working very slowly due to a high download volume so I tried again at around 11:30 pm and it downloaded OK.
