Hi,
its probably getting on a bit now, and has excessive dust build up around the fan housing, if your competant you could remove the back (unplug mains first!) and with a clean paint brush and a hoover gently clean the fan and housing (and anywhere else covered in dust while your at it) and see if that helps.
short of that it may need a new fan as its simply worn out!
