Could anyone offer a solution please?
I originally used the XT2 soundstage with the Tv using HDMI 1 with fiber optic digital tv to soundstage.
As I added dvd etc I soon used the tree available HDMI sockets. After investigating options, I replaced my ageing Yamaha amplifier with the DN1080, for better sound and auto HDMI switching and pass through. The amp sits on HDMI 3 with ARC enabled, using amplifier HDMI. Out A, XT2 sits on HDMI 1. All video sources go to the amplifier.
The idea was to have three option for audio, tv, xt2, or DN1080. Setting aside the minor inconvenience that the audio remote controls use the same system, when I select audio system on the tv, or switch on the DVD player, understandably the result varies and is quite random. Almost a race to see where the sound ends up. I have tried configuring HDMI out B on the amp to switch to soundstage, independently with only one connected, it works like a dream so it’s working perfectly, if I could find a workaround to make it all work together somehow it would be great, but my next step is to remove the soundstage XT2 from the system.
if anyone knows of a solution I would be very grateful.
thanks.
Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
I will try and get an answer for you. In the meantime perhaps another user in the community may be able to offer a solution.
Best wishes,
Sean Mc
Hi QuirkyDirky,
I'm not sure exactly how you've connected the system, is it possible to clarify the connection map you've done between all three devices?
Do you have speakers attached to the DN1080?
What are you trying to achieve by this type of connection?
Cheers,
