HT-XF9000

The sound is very nice, good strong bass for a small cheap (£300) unit.
But the connections are very odd. I cannot get ARC fro a samsung 4K 65" to work at all.
I use a panny DMP-UB400 4K Blu-ray Player, it has HDMI out and HDMI audio only,
both going to the ht-xf9000, as I want the full effect sound.
Odd thing one I have to press the HTMI button on ht-xf9000 remote every 10 minutes or so to stop the ht-xf9000 going into standby.
setup as the book I could not the sound back to the bar.
Odd thing Two ht-xf9000 when htmi to TV press "Home" button  then "settings " Not not available at this time" or words like that

Just to confirm that I have a Samsung 4k TV and ARC works fine for me, only issue I get is that it losses the connection everytime I turn the TV off, so I need to rename the HDMI 1 port (conected to SKY Q box) to SKY and add it to my homepage pins (bloody annoying)
Do you have compatiable ARC HDMI cables?

I found I was in Demo mode That has stoped the bar from going to standby.

All cables are v2.0.

Sound is very good from (audio only) html on  blu ray to bar ,  picture by html to TV.

all other sound from TV to bar by optical cable.

only missing is display of volume on screen from bar ( did see it in setup) will try again later.

I have noticed that the display of volume, bass etc on the TV screen from the sound bar is only shown when on HDMI, does work when on TV (ARC) which is also bloody annoying

SONY needs to send a Software update out to address this display issue
