How to play files larger than 4GB on BDV-E870 via external USB drive?

If its the same as my e370 which I'm sure it is, then you cannot do what you require.

The format that the device reads in is FAT32 only and not NTFS

FAT32 can only read upto 4gig

So you need to get your file and split it using 'MKVmerge'.

Add the file in the 'Input' tab, then select the 'Enable splitting...' '...after this size' '4000M' in the 'Global' tab.

Simple, your device will just play the next file at the end of the first one.
