Hi there
I am desperate! I have a relatively new (just out guarantee wouldn't you know it) SONY BDP-S350. It's played quite happily, then when I tried to play a Blu ray the other night I got the message in the title. It has just had the firmware updated but still won't recognise any discs - it just says 'NO DISC'.... and the same error message comes on screen. :smileysad::smileysad:
Has anyone else had this problem and if so - how did you solve it?
Many, many thanks.
Lizzie
The error message in the title of this post doesn't match what you've put in the body of the post, which is a bit confusing.
If you're getting NO DISC on all Blu-ray discs it sounds to me like your player needs to be looked at by a service agent. Before you take it anywhere though, it's probably worth spending a few pounds on a DVD lens cleaning disc and play that in the machine, just in case the error is down to it being unable to recognise discs due to a build-up of dust on the laser assembly. If it doesn't fix the problem you can always use the cleaning disc on the repaired/replacement player.
