bdp s790 freezing during playback

Hi there,

I bought a s790 just before christmas, and it seems to have a problem.

I was watching a film last night (friends with benefits on blu ray) and about 6 minutes into the film, the screen went completely black and the sound cut out.  this lasted about 2 or 3 seconds, and the film continued from where it left off.  I have checked with other blu rays and this can happen at any time, but it only ever happens once per film.

Could this be to do with changing disc layer or is there another reason?

I've checked the hdmi leads and both work fine (i use the dual hdmi function as my amp can't do 3d films).

Any ideas?

Hi,

not sure whats happening here but then i dont have both HDMI's connected on mine!, i just use the one and connect to my Amp with a Digital Coaxial cable, so far (touch wood) i've have had no issues with playback in either 3D or normal Blu Rays.
